Circles/Clubs: JJEOCK [Social Science]

The purpose is JJEOCK is to identify the problems in the world starting from KAIST and expanding into concerns related both to Korea and the global community as a whole. They analyze the structural aspects that bring about the problems and take action to solve them to the greatest extent possible. In Korean, the term "jjeock" is used to describe the dividing or opening of a material and so the name Jjeock embodies the hope of the members of the club to see "the soft soil underneath that was hidden under the cold cement in a social sense".

Activities: Weekly meetings on such areas as: the environment, education, media, labor, women's rights, politics, the economy, science and technology and science literature; Social Action
