IBAKTEO is the KAIST thespian club. Ibakteo which is a combination of the Gyeongsangbuk-do dialect for story and place to create the new meaning of "a place to share stories" was originally founded in 1986 under the name Jayumudae, [or 'free stage']. It was renamed A year later, it was renamed to Ibakteo, which is what we are today. So this year is the 20th anniversary of our club.
What are the main events and activities of the club?
Activities: biannual theatre productions to be staged at the auditorium or the Mirae Hall; a special farewell production near the end of the fall semester for the graduating senior members; and, irregular smaller scale performances.
Membership: the club is open to everyone regardless of theatrical knowledge or experience
